Dr. Turek is an excellent doctor. Very knowledgeable and professional at what he does in his profession as an MD. I will always be thankful for his medical care and wisdom as a doctor.
I’ve had a few experiences with Dr. Turek amongst his years as an emergency physician and after reading the reviews left I think I needed to take five minutes to write my own. Dr. Turek is excellent when it comes to EMERGENCY medicine he has the knowledge and background needed to make life saving decisions under pressure within a timely manner. Absolutely awful care from this physician in the ER. Have also heard from nurses that work with this man who says he doesn’t like people. Wow. That’s someone that needs to find a new profession. After reading others reviews I had a similar experience and I’m shocked bayhealth has not done something about this. He should be reviewed by the medical board.
My husband had a procedure at Penn Medicine this past week and that night he had complications. His tongue was swelling and he was having trouble breathing due to his throat closing up. I called 911 and he went to the Bayhealth ER in Milford. Before even looking at my husband’s throat or calling Penn Medicine, this doctor told us that we should have driven 2.5 hours to Penn Medicine for them to treat him. Absolutely horrible experience with Dr. Turek at the Bayhealth Emergency Room, last night. I didn't mind the 3+ hour wait to see him (It's an ER- I know they're swamped and I was lucky to get in that quickly) but when he finally came in, he was in my room for less than 2 minutes and refused to listen/absorb anything I was trying to tell him. ZERO. not even one. completely horrible. he was very rude even antagonizing me farther after i was already going to leave. i would not refer him to anyone. he does not have any care in him for his patients. as he worded “many patients have been in and out tonight i’m sorry i can’t give you the undivided attention you want”. and never did i ask for that. do NOT put your care or anyone you care about in his hands.
Like others stated. Extremely rude and demeaning. Barely examined my toddler, rx’d antibiotics and walked out. No explanation or anything. I Followed up with primary to get real treatment and avoid unnecessary antibiotics. Not sure how this man has a job.
Agree with the others...he is deplorable and should be reviewed by medical board! I saw him at Bayhealth Sussex Campus in the ER, and would give him a ZERO star rating. No compassion or bedside manner, demeaning , rude, no explanation of anything, no exam, EXTREMELY condescending. Staff well aware of his attitude problem, and someone needs to pull this man aside to remind him what HEALTHCARE should entail. Disgusted beyond words with him all the way around!
