Bitcoin IRA responded quickly to my call. However, Mt primary contact and I played a bit of phone tag. After we connected the process was clear and flowed smoothly. I did have to find out for myself that I could view my Kingdom Trust account online, though. Or maybe it just wasn't made clear. Overall, I would recommend them. more »

It was a little bumpy at the beginning, and that was 1 year ago.
I was new to investing with Bitcoin, but they did take the time to explain the process and talk about potential pitfalls.
M
y returns in 1 year are more than my returns in the previous 22 years.
I really like working with them, but their fees seem to be a bit high.

Your back office did not get funds over to the kingdom trust after a sale.

Need to add coins like OMG and other solid emerging currencies. Must have a better buy-sell procedure. Waitin
g 24-48 hours to trade is too long given volatility.. What exchanges are you using? Would like to know where pricing is verses using public data bases. Like coinslive.com to see what they have posted.

Like my AE Scott Tavolieri. When there was a problem he seen to get it worked out.

I was really nervous when I first explored BitcoinIRA as I didn't have any experience with the crypto world. After talking at length with Alex Hill... he gained my confidence about moving one of my 401K's over to BicoinIRA.
Yes- their fees are somewhat high to get everything set up...but, once you're done with that process...sit back and watch your retirement nest egg grow exponentially!
Relax. breathe and take the leap over to BitcoinIRA....you'll be so glad you did!

Having cryptocurrencies in an IRA is a smart move for me. I am able to participate in a huge melt-up in a tax advantaged account. The staff at Bitcoin IRA are all helpful and knowledgeable. The process takes longer than usual but it's worth it. more »

I have utilized Bitcoin IRA from the start, possibly being one of the first few. Why did I choose Bitcoin IRA, because other noncustodial options were because it allows easily access to coins if I die, therefore guaranteeing transfer of wealth to my beneficiaries in case they don’t know how to use Bitcoin. I am also very thankful for Bitcoin IRA allowing me to keep fork coins like Bitcoin Cash which is closer to the original Bitcoin I first started buying, other retirement options to invest in Bitcoin sold off the Bitcoin Cash which I believe may become a future mistake. more »

I transferred half of my IRA to these folks in July and the remaining in August. While it takes extra time to place orders in a custodian account, it has been well worth doing so. In the first 3 weeks with bitcoin IRA my account was worth more than in the last 15 years. I now have a reasonable retirement account and while it is slow to trade I'm just Hodling my bitcoin and trade outside of this account. Blake at BitcoinIRA, handles my account and has always gotten back to me and help make the trades as quickly as possible which is not always easy with the influx of so many accounts. Yes I recommend these services, but be aware there are healthy costs to transferring and opening your account and they are upfront about all of the costs. more »

I have used Bitcoin IRA’s services since September 2017. I love this company. They make investing in cryptocurrency so easy. The process for setting up takes a few days but the transfer of funds and fund availability takes a few weeks because the banks delay the process. My contact at Bitcoin IRA is Ryan and he is so helpful, knowledgeable, efficient and reliable. He has made the process for signing up and making my trades so seamless. He always answers my questions and returns my calls or emails. He explained the entire process and helps me keep up my accounts. Investing in cryptocurrency is so much better than investing in the US stock market. I definitely have been recommending Bitcoin IRA to all my friends and family. Thank you Ryan and The Bitcoin IRA team, I am so greatful to all of you. Continue the great customer service that you provide, you will lead the industry. more »

WELCOME TO BITCOIN IRA

The digital currency bitcoin is the most exciting news in the world of commerce. It’s even more exciting to know that you can invest and open an Individual Retirement Account in bitcoin.

Given bitcoin’s swift and dramatic increase in value since its inception, you will most likely prefer a bitcoin IRA to a modest interest-bearing account with dollar-denominated investment assets like stocks in your IRA.

Getting started is easy.

What is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is digital currency. Instead of reaching into your pocket or wallet for, quarters or dollars to pay for a product or service, you pay for them over the Internet. Bitcoin exists exclusively in cyberspace.

Bitcoin users don’t write checks or use a credit card, and therefore bypass an intermediary such as a bank in any transaction. What were formerly in-person transactions, person-to-merchant transactions or merchant-to-merchant transactions are now enabled to become peer-to-peer transactions. Merchants who honor bitcoins benefit because they’re spared a fee which customarily runs between one and two percent.

Successive participants in bitcoin transactions are recorded in a public ledger known as a block chain. Each participant is prevented by block-chain software from altering previous bitcoin transactions in any way.

The benefits bitcoin offers through the elimination of the need for banks to clear funds are momentous. In fact, the use of bitcoin eliminates the need for any fund-clearing intermediary. The very nature of bitcoin software prohibits fraud or forgery. What’s more, a digital currency transaction provides a virtual guarantee of user privacy. Also, you need no longer concern yourself with the costs of maintaining a checking account or of returned checks.

The time savings associated with the bypassing of an intermediary, especially in international transactions, could likely prove an immense boon to commerce over the next several years.

Particularly since the Great Recession of 2008, banks – particularly big banks – have become worrisome to depositors. In May of 2015, five of the world’s biggest banks were slapped with criminal charges for rigging currencies. Without much fanfare, all five banks pleaded guilty to the charges and collectively paid $5 Billion in fines.

It is extremely telling that one of these banks, JP Morgan Chase & Co., after routinely dismissing bitcoin as “unimportant” in 2015 has now announced in 2016 “Blockchain [the online technology of bitcoin] will be big in everything related to settlement, and not just loans. While it is still early days, the technology looks very good.”

Bitcoin then is highly significant in the evolution of currency. Clearly, big banks have gotten the message and do not want to be left behind. Enlightened by the new bitcoin technology, they are actively searching for legitimate ways to modernize their operations.
