Hi there, I generally enjoy Black Bear Diners. For work I often meet clients there for breakfast or lunch. The food is good and the atmosphere homey. I took my mom to your restaurant in American Fork on 5/12/18 for an early Mother's Day breakfast. It was her first time going to a BBD. Everything was fine except for our initial arrival. When we walked into the restaurant we couldn't get any employee that was coming or going at the reception stand to make eye contact with us. There wasn't a line behind or in front of us. Our party of 11 adults and 5 kids (ages 5 down to newborn) had to sit in the waiting area for 45 minutes. We were told 20-30 min. when we got there. Which would have been borderline bearable. A party of 7 was seated before us. No other people were waiting and the room where the group tables are was basically empty. I told the guy at the register that we didn't need to sit all at one table if it was a problem. We couldn't occupy all the toddlers much longer! We got there at 6:30pm and were seated at 7:15. We took our 3 kids to dinner here tonight, and our service was so great ! It was super busy and there was a little bit of a wait, but the staff was so accommodating. They offered my kids crackers, and the manager Chris was SPECTACULAR. He had eyes on the whole restaurant and made sure all of his customers had a 5 Star experience. Love this place !!
