In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. OMG! Our favorite go to... breakfast, lunch or dinner. No matter what is ordered, we love it! Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes & the best green beans ever. My kids said they were better than mine and they love mine. Also A+ goes to Rose our server, friendly, helpful and nice. My only regret is..... there is not a Black Bear Diner by me, I hope they build one in Valencia, Ca.

Servings are always big. Service is okay. Wish they gave discounts to Veterans ,but they don't. A small price to pay for serving our country!

Only eaten here twice and both times have been great eats. Very hearty and filling meals. Look forward to trying some lunch/dinner here.
