The theme is refreshing.. seating in the main dining room was full but was offered seating in a empty back room table for two, I declined. Had to wait in excess of a half hour for seating due to the lack of tables being cleared promptly. The regular portions are huge so bring a hearty appetite. The food is good and service is prompt. Overall kinda worth the wait.
We went for Father's Day and mostly it was a great visit. We enjoyed our food and the portions were huge!!! We spent just a little more then IHOP for four of us then previously for three at IHOP. Definitely prefer Black Bear Diner over IHOP any day!!! The only problem we had was with our banana cream pie we took home. There was a little crust then a hole in the middle with not much filling at all. It had tons of frosting too. It was pretty disappointing and had to be thrown away. Have had much better pies at other locations.
Always love Black Bear Diner! I'm glad they're getting closer to Riverside.
The service was over the top. Eric did a great job. Wife and I split the Dinner Chicken Fried Steak, and our son had the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast. He finished and we almost did. A Great time.
