While the quality of the food was good, it was very dissapointing that we have to listening and endure to the vulgarity and profanity of the hispanic employees in the kitchen while we were dinning. Please instruct your managers and employees this kind of actitud and language is ofensive to your customers.
The restaurant staff is great but you took the harvest grain pancakes off the menu! What a disappointment!! Why mess with a good thing? PLEASE bring them back.
Your omelet are not worth $12.79. That is outrageous. Unfortunately, you will get it because there is so little competition in this area. But I will not pay $12.79 for an omelette at your restaurant. The service was bad, too.
Ordered the Fish Fry Special. Main plate came with only 3 small thin pieces of fish, total size <4 oz. I asked the waitress to go ahead and place another order in. I finished the plate, she came by and asked if I wanted more, I said yes. 15 minutes later, she came by and said sorry, she would get it in immediately. The fish came (this time 2 pieces). This was the very first time I've been able to try Black Bear Diner food. My work department and I ordered breakfast to be delivered through door dash. My meal was disappointing. The pancakes in particular were so overcooked that they were burnt looking and I could barely cut into them to eat. What was even more disappointing was not receiving syrup... butter... or silverware to eat our breakfasts... We often order out for breakfast and will be hesitant to try this again..
I was TOTALLY ignored by the entire staff. I went in to pick up my online order. I do understand they were busy but all it takes is a smile and an "I will be with you in a moment". The young man seating people as they came in (5 groups as I stood there) and accepted payment (4) totally ignored me. I finally joking asked the next couple that came in " Can YOU see me? I submit my input as constructive input hoping that your future clients will receive better serve than I. We have often eaten @ the Danville location, but today was our last visit. My wife ordered Mexican scramble with potatoes, no jalapenos & a bisquet. I ordered the large volcano with well done bacon.1st issue, potatoes served with jalapenos, potatoes not well done nor was my bacon. Seated at 7:10 PM by young lady wearing green shirt and glasses. Manager took our drink orders and served us. He said "Mike" would be right with us. After 10 minutes our order had not been given. Mike was literally running to serve the entire restaurant with no other server in sight. When Mike was finally free to take orders, he went to a table who had been seated after us. My dissatisfaction is due to service. When entering I waited nearly 10 minutes for recognition and then was greeted with “welcome, we’ll be with you shortly”... this location replaces a Denny’s that used to be here and this is my 2nd visit to this Black Bear. On both occasions it has not been overly busy yet the employees are quite slow to acknowledge new customers upon entering... I expect you may be aware that is a traditional problem with Denny’s and I would think it would be the last thing Black Bear would want to emulat... read more
