I would have given 5 stars but was very disappointed with the fish & chips. It was frozen and NOT freshly battered. My husband loved his breakfast and their huge bisquits. I should have gotten a burger!!
My husband decided he wanted us to "beat the crowd" Easter morning so here we are at 7:00 a.m.(The cracks of dawn on a Sunday!) At Black Bear Diner. He had Chicken Fried Steak and I had Corned Beef Hash. They followed all my silly requests with a smile. The whole experience was very calm, peaceful and an overall happy breakfast. The food? DELICIOUS! not too much, not too little. Fresh, well cooked and delivered hot and in a timely manner. This might become an annual tradition!

Our 1st time to come to the Elk Grove Black Bear and we were pleased with the service as well as our food. Sorry, Black Bear Natomas, El Camino you will still be in our hearts but, you're a quite a drive away.
We went there for lunch yesterday, which was a Monday. It was packed. We still got great seating, maybe a 10 min wait for a party of six. Our waitress was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. The food was fabulous 🎉👍
