In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedMy first visit and definitely not my last. Our waitress was superb, the restaurant was very clean and the bus boy and hostess were also working hard! It was nice to have the manager bring out our food as soon as it was ready. Very enjoyable lunch.

we tried the new carving board dinners. the Santa maria tri tip and smoked brisket was delicious. the service was great and our server Jerry was wonderful.

Good menu selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Food and drinks served on time. Service is great. Nice little wait room with nice items for purchase. Overall great diner experience. Highly recommended for family and friends who enjoy great food, drinks, and service.
Way too much food; we couldn't eat it all. Next time we'll share a plate or order a small meal.
