In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Great portions, friendly staff, very delicious food, perfect for get togethers or a nice dinner with the family. One of my favorite spots.

The waitstaff were prompt, courteous, and very friendly. The food was incredible. Great coffee and, coming from a Louisiana Cajun, that speaks volumes. Ca' cest bon!
