In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedHaven't been able to sit down and eat a meal for 2 and a half months outside of my truck. Very glad to see them open and thank you to the kind stranger that bought my meal.

food was pretty good, nothing spectacular and a little pricy but I'd go back. service was exceptional.

I hadn’t been to a restaurant in months! .(Since the onset of Covid-19...)We got seated right away, looked over their menu , which BTW, was loaded with a wide variety of diner/comfort food selections. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, California style... + Avocado, Tomato, Spinach & Apple wood Bacon instead of the usual Canadian Bacon, ALL smothered with a most delicious hollandaise sauce! It was “2 Die 4!”
