In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Food is always good and the portions are large. The staff is friendly and attentive. I don't go out to eat very often and choose Black Bear because they never disappoint

Good food, good prices and good service, I wish they would have some sort of curtains, the glare from parked vehicles was killing me. Kudos for that waiter that told the kid to shut off his loud music. I had the breakfast steak, very nice, but some of my country fried potatoes were burnt. I will return.
