In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Great family restaurant. I have been to many Black Bear Restaurants including the original in the City of Mt. Shasta, CA. The Black Bear in Madras, OR takes 2nd place only to the original Black Bear in Mt. Shasta which was 4 1/2 star during the grand opening back in the early 1990's.
The food was great, comfort food and low carb for me.
