In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Great food, great memories. My father bought this bear there on one of his trips out from Michigan to visit grandkids about 15 years ago . I just received it from my mom (dad died almost 8 years ago), and it reminded me of our trips to Black Bear Diner.
Black Bear has good food with generous portions. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Plus I like how they put up shielding between the booths for patrons safety.
