Great atmosphere, very attentive staff, and DELICIOUS food. Claudia greeted us and made sure we felt welcome, she also helped us with the selection of the menu by recommending the Avocado Bacon Sandwich, as well as another dish I forget the name of (she wasn't exaggerating, it really was delicious �) I'll definitely be going back.
This place was AWESOME!! Wonderful food, really nice atmosphere, everything great!! My mom grew up in Modesto and loved this place, so we were visiting from out of town (Utah, Michigan, South Carolina) and had dinner with family!! Best choice ever!!
Our first time eating in a Black Bear Diner and we loved it. Nice decor outside and inside. We were greeted promptly and seated same. The person who seated us took our drink orders and gave us our menus that didn't look like menus. It looked like an old time newspaper with a headline about Lucky Lindy landing in Paris. Food was delicious and the servers were attentive! Be careful, the servings were so large that you will need to take home leftovers! The cost is very reasonable--two of us ate for less than $30.
