I was in the mood for breakfast after a doctor’s appointment. Black Bear Diner was the only thing that came to mind. I ordered the Build Your Own breakfast. Consisted of 2 eggs sunny side up, a slice of ham steak, and 2 biscuits w/ gravy. I was not expecting the plate to be that full! Oh man it was good. The biscuits were huge and very filling. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My Partner had the omelette and he said it was stuffed with meat. This place never disappoints. 👍🏼
AMAZING! Food is absolutely flavorful! Must try the BISCUITS & GRAVY, the LOADED COUNTRY POTATOES with cheddar, bell peppers, onion & bacon and the Sweet Tea 😋 Huge portions, the BLT at the next table looked just as amazing! 😋 Top it off with some fresh squeezed OJ and call it a day! To complete your experience make sure to ask for TAYLOR she has AWESOME customer service and will offer up some great food suggestions ☺️
This was a cool find. The first time I saw Black Bear Cafe was in NC. I'm super happy to see them in SA. Apparently there are several of them. This one is attached to a gas station. While I have paid $9 for a slice of pie before, this did not meet the $9 quality. Maybe $5-$6 at best. Skip the desert but the food was good. Service was great and family friendly environ... read more
Dependable place to get good food. I have never seen a black bear connected to a convenience store, so that was cool. I eat at black bears all over the place, this one was in line with their expected quality.
This black bear as of 19 jul 2025 does not season their food. I ordered the country fried steak with hashbrowns and eggs. No seasoning on ANYTHING not a single grain of salt touched my entire plate. I had to slice everything in hot sauce.
