In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Our waiter Robert was great. Smiling and came back several times to check on our table. So many menu choices it was hard to pick. I got the chicken/avocado club. It was huge and oh so tasty.

We loved the look & feel if the inside of this place. It really reminded us of The Smoky Mountains, with the Black Bear theme. I had the Chicken & Waffles, & my wife had the 2 Egg Chicken Fried Steak combo. We were both very pleased with our meals. This was our first time here, but we'll definitely be back!
