Not all Black Bear Diners are created equal. The reztraunt in Yreka, CA has consistently been great in providing hot, well prepared generous servings, and excellent food. Might as well ask for a take home container when you order! As a bonus, the service stands out with excellent service by really great people. And...no I have absolutely no connections to this eating establishment, nor will I recieve any special considerations for this review(disclaimer!). ���

The food is excellent every time. The experience can vary with waitress. I made 2 stops prior. The 1st time, it took awhile before a waitress to take my order, she would check on other customers 3 or 4 times before checking on me. I knew I look like hell just travelled alone, 500 miles in a non AC vehicle in 90 degree weather. She made feel like I was a transient about to do dine and dash. The 2nd stop was for breakfast, I still look like hell due to I came down with bronchitis. The waitress was wonderful to me. This last s... read more
