In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. My guest and I had a great time at the Black Bear Diner sneak peek event. The staff was so great and friendly. The food was fantastic and the portions were HUGE! We had breakfast, but it was cool to learn that their entire menu (except baked potatoes) is available all day long. So, I could get a hamburger for breakfast. Yummy! They passed out samples of their lava cake... soooo good! And they have pot pie. Sometimes, I just want me a pot pie. Now I can haz one. <g>

Great breakfast. Huge portions. All the staff was cream of the crop!!!! Will definitely be going back! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.

I was so proud to see how well our Yuma staffers did during the soft opening yesterday. I've been to other Black Bears and ours measures up. The food and service was really good. I think they'll become a Yuma favorite!
