had the firecracker shrimp and it tasted like rubber
This is my second time here. The first was last week and the food was good. Had dinner ( or at least tried to) last night. I can not describe the complétas disaster that followed. Most of the food was inedible and definitely not fresh. We were overcharged and then we’re told that we were given a discount. worse place to go if you want to be seated. told wait was 20 mins for a table of 7. while waiting multiple tables of 3,4, 5 and 6 were seated an estimated 30 people seated before us. asked about being seated after a table of 5 was seated. they said "a couple more minutes the people at your table are paying and leaving now". after 45 mins of waiting a table of 6 was seated. asked again and they said "I dont know what's going on let me see." at this point they could have seated us by combining tables or even placing us at two ... read more
Wanted to love it, but we were ignored by waitstaff. $150 lunch and no one could even be bothered to check in or refill our plastic cups that were blowing away in the wind. Great food, would have been more enjoyable with better service.
We eat here very often as we are year round locals. Tonight, however, we requested a table on the porch which is open air. It was warm today. Waited 40 minutes only to be shown to an indoor table and told a porch table would be an additional 15-20 minutes! Ummmm, we requested one 40 minutes ago! Bad cold food ... management sucks
The restaurant is open for outdoor dining with an open air waiting area under a roof at the bar. The hostesses allowed FAR too many people into the waiting area to the point it was no longer possible to social distance. Most of the patrons were NOT wearing masks even though the signs said they had to until they were seated at a table. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our table. Mel thank you for addressing your concerns during your visit. Last night were difficult circumstances as I'm sure you could see due to the heavy downpour. Once it started raining we lost several of our outdoor tables (which is all we are allowed to use) and had to find new tables for the guests seated at them. Once we realized the deck was too occupied due to the rain, there were two managers at the stairs literally telling people they had to wait in their cars, in the rain. Spent $150.00 for drinks and dinner and after dinner my sister-in-law and I both had half a drink they kept asking us if we wanted another one we said not right now and I had my drink to my right hand side with a little bit in it so they would not take it the manager came over and took it and asked if we would like anything else she was so rude and so ignorant and I go there a lot !! We visited this place a few years ago and decided to give it a second chance. Now we know why we always chose Urie's Waterfront Restaurant over this place. My husband ordered the seafood Mac & cheese and it was full of crabshells. The manager's response was "It happens, the cooks do their best to remove the shells." Mind you it was a $32 plate.
