I had an excellent New York Strip dry aged and prime, cooked perfectly. Our server was excellent, and the pricing better than my hotel.
First, the manager that attended to me was highly professional, polite and kind. I asked for a spot I could relax and smoke a long waited cigar as well as a glass of scotch before my dinner. The manager led me to a patio that was perfect and sent a waiter to take my drink order. For dinner I had the Chopped Salad and the the Rigitoni. The Chopped Salad had a non-reataraunt standard of tomatoes, olives, pine nuts, peppers, mild aged cheese. Was great. The menu was diverse enough to offer something for everyone. The menu takes advantage of the locally available Maryland crab and offers is several different ways, two of which we had at our table and found it to be wonderful. The steaks were also tempting and one of our group had the dry aged 12 ounce steak and said that it was perfect. Everything was perfect and the real treat was the desert. We ordered the cheesecake and there was enough for two or three people with one slice. Great flavor and very well presented.
We took our daughter here for her birthday dinner with family. The staff was very attentive and helpful throughout our whole dinning experience. We did the Family Dinner Style menu, I will safely say the serving sizes are very generous and we could have easily fed double our party for the amount of food we received. DO NOT MISS BOND45. Not sure how to explain the (sorry) ridiculous negative reviews but this place is the real deal in National Harbor. The pictures posted do not do this spot justice. Because of the negative reviews we went early to scope out the joint before our reservation. Within minutes the executive chef was out from behind the kitchen explaining us how to prepare a perfect steak at home. Our server Rob was outstanding . I had a dish which I was not crazy about and he saw I wasn't eating it and he insisted I order something else.He was very attentive the whole time we were there.
Our first time dining at Bond 45. Our waiter was very nice and describing the various dishes. He recommended the steak with crabmeat and chicken parmesan, so we tried it. My husband really enjoy the steak with crabmeat. He enjoyed every bite. The chicken parmesan took up the whole plate and it was great. Definitely, we will be going back.
From description we expected a fine dining experience. It was actually closer to Marciano's Family restaurant. Large portions. Limited wine list. Due to the layout of the building you constantly have people walking by the back of your chair on the way to and from the bathroom. It was just OK.
