My wife and I dined at Bond 45 for our 34th wedding anniversary. We've heard many good things about it and thought we would give it a try. The weather outside was wet and cold for an early June afternoon, but we were pleasantly surprised at our reception at Bond 45. Bond 45 has become one of my favorite places to go in the DC area. Decent wine selection. Food selection is great without trying to offer too much or too little. Nice place to go to for a special occasion or the start to a night out. Steaks are great. Seafood is fresh and fantastic. The veal here is underrated. Went to Bond 45 while at a conference at Gaylord. Great food and great service. Wine suggestions were well paired and the food was great.
The service was pleasant from the staff member that showed us to our table to the waiter who served out meals. The waiter was very helpful with the menu selection. The waiter was not in a rush. She was helpful to the children. Our dinning was in the private group dinning area overlooking the harbor activities.
The food was good - not great. I thought is was overpriced. And the brunch menu was limited. The service was excellent though.
After dining here with some friends I had to return 2 nights later with my girlfriend. We received excellent service and the food was beyond my expectation on both dining experiences.
Service started out great. It seems to have fallen off once we didn't order an appetizer or a bottle of wine. It seems as though the waiter didn't think we were worth his time. I'd still like to know what the specials were. The table after us were told the specials. I was asked if I would like another glass of wine, about 15 minute after I had finished he first glass and would have probably would have liked one then. He just disappeared for a while.
