We were there right after they opened. Food was very good, presentation good, Antipasta selections also very good. The servers were attentive. We were told that many of the menu options change on a regular basis and that still being new not everything was listed. There were very good choices and it was a very nice dining experience.
great place for dinner pre or post theatre
Overall dining experience was good. I went with with one other person. We ordered from the RW dinner menu and paired it with a bottle of champagne. My friend ordered the seafood antipasti to start and seafood pappardelle as entree. We didn't care for the seafood antipasti too much, the flavor was too strong and salty. Seafood pappardelle wasn't exceptional either, clams were on the salty side and shrimps weren't too fresh. I ordered the fettucine al ragu and veal scallopine with mushroom. Great for pre or post theater! Staff was very nice and attentive.
I had the prix-fixe menu, each portion was large and the food was tasty, especially the fettucine a ragu. Good food, nice waitress, everything was perfectly fine, nothing totally outstanding but definitely acceptable. However, I do not believe it can justify its $16 class of plain old cabernet sauvignon - I just thought that was odd.
This was our third trip to Bond 45 and it didn't disappoint. We took our two teenagers and some out of town guests. The wonderful antipasto is always a highlight, and we all had ample and delicious entrees. No room for dessert! The noise level was a little high, but we were there pre-theatre and as soon as theatregoers cleared out, it was much quieter. Definitely recommended for eclectic crowds--there's something here for everyone and there is a nice, bustling New York feel.
I am never disappointed when I eat at Bond 45. It is noisy, but you are close together at your table it doesn't interfere with your conversation. They are prompt in seating you and your waiter greets with in a timely manner.
Bond 45 is great for the Theater District. High energy and the staff is very accommodating. They are also open for breakfast, so I found a great place to have an early business meeting.
The staff made us feel welcome and the service was efficient and personable. The food was excellent and the choices were plentiful. Our family liked the atmosphere - although it is a bit noisy. This was our second visit and we plan to return.
