Bond 45, a New York Italian Kitchen & Bar was originally located on 45th street in the former historic Bond Clothing Store (1948-1977), is now open in its new home on 46th street. Bond 45 is best known for its vegetable antipasto bar which offers a rotating selection of market vegetables and features an expansive menu that include specialty veal chops, seafood, house made pasta, thin crust pizza and breakfast all day.

This was my first foray back to Bond 45 since reopening in its new location. I was hopeful for some of the magic of the original, but I was regrettably disappointed. I was first seated in the basement, which had nice atmosphere and roomier, but there was no cell signal at all so I asked to moved upstairs. First time at their new location and we had an excellent experience. Started with Italian wedding soup and it was superb.. Foccacia bread was moist and flavorful with our soup. Entrees were chicken part and lasagna and both were tasty, well prepared and for NYC excellent portion size. To our surprise a hostesses arrived with a tray of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies right from the oven! The maitre D and hostess were lovely, very welcoming and personable. The decor is lovely and their is a very lively atmosphere. I know they encourage everyone to eat at the same time when going to the theatre but this made for not the best service. We waited quite some time for everything to be delivered. The wrong food was brought out twice! There were a couple of instances of dishes being dropped (hopefully those were with dirty dishes and not someones food coming out!) Wonderful pre-theater dining at Bond 45. Impeccable service received from Andre, and food was outstanding. Will definitely be back!
Great food and service, great selection of drinks
The food here was nothing short of amazing!! The manager, Jeff, and his staff made sure that my husband and I had a wonderful experience and delicious dinner!
The Antipasto bar was fabulous. All the entrees were of great quality, the suggested wine was superb. To top it all off, the maître d' came by with warm, tiny chocolate chip cookies at the end of the night.
Huge portions, tasty food, great service and a staff that paid attention and got you out in time for a show. Can not ask for more from a theater area restaurant.
Great food and very dynamic service. Parking is available next door and extremely convenient to all broadway shows. Especially Hamilton. Especially if your a Baskin ;-)
