We began at the bar, wait staff were in a festive mood and this generated a good vibe. The only dining option was a set price 7 course meal which we knew about at the time of booking. Cost at $275 pp was at the very upper end of our limit. The food was flavoursome however portion sizes were very large. We paid before midnight so we could step outside to see the excitement in Times Square. We returned to our table knowing the restaurant was open until 1am to enjoy a final drink. Having seen our waiter out in the street celebr... read more
I gave the food a fair rating because the roasted potatoes were obviously not freshly roasted. They had the extremely tough texture and off-taste that results from refrigerating the potatoes after cooking and then reheating. Everything else was very good, but for the price and their reputation, my expectations were that everything should have been very good to outstanding.
If you haven't been to Bond 45, you just have to go. Beside a fabulous wine list and great food, the atmosphere is just fun. In the heart of the Theater District, this large restaurant is like dining family style in Italy. We made friends with all our "neighbors" and even shared dessert with people. It's just cozy, but don't be afraid, if you want to enage with your table alone, it's doable as well. It's my second time at this restaurant, both great experiences!
We recently dined at Bond 45 and the food and service was very, very good. We did get there for an early dinner, around 430 pm, not sure what it would be like in the height of the dinner hour. The prices are high but the food is fantastic and the wines are also. The waiter Michael was very very good.
The food was well prepared and tastefull. Hope to return in the future
toughest part was picking from so many great items on the menu, as well as not overeating the delicious appetizers !
We really enjoyed our dinner at Bond 45. Tyler, our waiter, was very good. The food was tasty, the atmosphere was fun and it was perfect after the theatre. The kids were made to feel very welcome. They brought freshly baked cookies to the table. Overall a really nice experience.
From the UK andIn New York with my family for Xmas we chose Bond 45 for Christmas Day dinner as my husband and I we had been before on previous visits to NYC and it didn't disappoint. OK they had run out of some items on the menu but it was a very busy day and the service and quality of the food more than made up for it ! Thanks for adding to a very special family time - we will return next time we are in New York
Our anniversary was the day after Christmas and I reserved a table. We showed up and were seated immediately. The flowers were waiting along with champagne the house selected. We were given time to review and select our meal. Each course arrived warm and delicious. We had warm bread, wife had a carmelized pear salad and I had tomato and onion salad. The flavor was wonderful. After a short rest we had our main course. The ravioli was wonderful. My steak was mouth watering. It has been along time since I tasted food so well pr... read more
