Great location and since my date and I were going to a Broadway show, it was the easiest place to go. I didn't know the food would be as good as it was. You may not be completely wow'd by the place, but you'll definitely walk out more than satisfied.

A great place for before or after theatre nibbling, since the centerpiece of the menu is the antipasto bar and fresh mozzarella plates. Noisy (what isn't, in the theatre district?) but worthwhile for the fresh ingredients, flexible menu, and generous wine pours. The service is usually top-notch, though our server was slightly distracted this time. The back of the restaurant can seem like Siberia after the theatre crowd clears out--choose the bar area for after-eight dining. (Good bargain for lunch, too!)

I was a little disappointed in a couple of things.. the buffalo mozzarella and tomato should have been SLICED and dressed and was a little stingy on the tomato. Also, could have used a little more info on the Lasagna - I've never seen or heard of an "open-faced" Lasagna and would have appreciated a headsup that this was not the traditional version - although it was tasty, it was very unusual and I might have made a different choice had I been advised up front.

Good food and this time (doesn't always happen) an attentive waiter. However, in a sparsely filled dining room on a Monday lunchtime, they put a large group directly behind us (I had to move my chair to be comfortable). There was tons of room elsewhere but we were scrunched up against each other and the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. And the room was only 25% full....! This restaurant continues to serve me great food but always with one glaring oversight that detracts from the overall experience.

Feels very 'old NY'. Great lighting, historical/classic feel. Feels very 'Mad Men'. Enjoyed food. Great vibrant staff.

My second visit in as many weeks - could not get past the Seafood Risotto which is some of the best I have ever had ! My friend constantly ordes the veal chop parma which is a test of man against food - it is enormous. Great lunch venue.

What I love about Bond 45 is that while in the heart of the Theatre & Tourist District, it still feels like New Yorkers and regulars own the place, even though out of towners very welcome. When I see tourists peruse the menu as I wait for my husband, I tell them "go in you won't be sorry!" The serving staff is first rate, thank you René. Look forward to returning again (and again and ....)
