Cozy, upscale but relaxed ; attentive waitstaff; while overall the food is very good stars off because some of the innovative preparation falls flat - on this night the spread-out-like-flatbread lasagna was gummy and dry. Another star off, ironically, for the HUGE over-the-top portions - more than anyone, health=conscious or not, can eat - it's wasteful and the customer pays for the waste.
The food was great, the service was lousy. Our waiter, Andrew C must have been having a bad day. We were very disappointed in his lack of attention to us, he did not give explanations of the menu, he never came to ask how we were enjoying our dinner, never offered fresh ground pepper. We came with a large group for mother's day and were pleasantly surprised by how well we were taken care of. The food was great, and the extra touches of chocolate covered strawberries and toffee for dessert were terrific. Mothers received a chocolate heart on the way out which was also a very nice touch. We would definitely return for another celebration.
So many restaurants that pack as many people as possible into a small space, but Bond 45 is big enough that it's possible to sit w/o become part of the conversation at the next table. The setting is attractive & sophisticated but not intimidating. The antipasti bar is a great feature for vegetarians, and there's plenty of meat and fish for the carnivores. We went for dinner on Mother's Day after going to a show. The food and service were fantastic as always. We loved the delicious chocolate covered strawberries which were given as a Mother's Day treat!! Party of five people....everyone loved everything from appetizers to dinner.
Everything was terrific as usual. Even though it was a holiday (mothers day)which is generally a bad time. Food was delicious No special limited holiday menu. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
Good place to go right before a show. They serve the food very quickly. The food was good.
Excellent food, excellent decor! Wait staff were terrific!
THe food was very good, though two of the four orders came out without the requested bacon.
