This was a perfect place to meet out of town friends. We were coming from Lincoln Center; they were coming from nearby. When I made my reservation with Open Table, I requested a quiet booth. When we arrived, the host was expecting us and had reserved a quiet booth in the back. Lots of choices on the menu. Very pleasant lunch - not rushed - time to talk. The best breadsticks.
Our experience was terrific. The location is perfect for pre-theatre at Lincoln Center and the food is great.
As I walked through the front door, I passed a waiter carrying a dish that immediately I knew I had to have. I also realized I had been there before for lunch and had enjoyed everything about the restaurant. It turned out the dish was their signature open face lasagna and we did order it. I was there with my 87 year old father and when we came in, the maitre'd responded to special requests about stairs and a quiet spot. Great pre-Lincoln Center (or after theater) spot.
We ate here after attending the Big Apple Circus across the street. I don't know why we've never eaten here in all our years in New York, but we were very pleasantly surprised by our experience... nice menu, very good food, friendly service, decent wine selection. This will definitely be one of our Lincoln Center regular restaurants from now on.
The service and the food were very good. The table is too close to each other, need more space!!
I love all the Fireman restaurants - for the food variety, portion size (enormous), and good flavor. It's also fun! Priced competitively, but everything can be shared. They get you on the tea/coffee,though - $4.00! Don't miss the fresh-from-the-oven cookies offered at table by the host.
quick and dependable when you are on your way to an event at Lincoln center. Antipasto bar is enormous.
My friends and I had a wonderful time there. The service was wonderful, the setting was wonderful. It was my first time there, but definitely not my last. I see now why my friend wanted us to all go there for a "Ladies Lunch." Great menu, lovely wine selection. Couldn't have had a better meal, or a better time. Looking forward to coming again my next trip to NYC, and recommending it to all of my friends.
