We were a group of eight on a Saturday afternoon. Usually we have excellent service and quality food. On this occasion, the food was mediocre, the service glacial. Disappointed, since generally this is a delightful place

This is not gourmet dining, but it is the best place for a fast dinner I have found near Lincoln Center. The fried Roman artichokes are now a go-to starter. The vegetable "buffet" — not really a buffet, since they bring your selections to the table — is varied, suitably wholesome if you choose to be, and very fast. Their pizza is great and reminds me of a Roman pizza, with a thin crisp crust. Don't worry, the topics are excessively lavish, as you would expect in the US. Service is fast and cheerful. Very fun, upbeat place. Maitre D seemed genuinely happy to welcome me. Showed me to a great table even though I was dining alone on a Saturday night. Just a very fun place with good food and energy The only negative is I felt a bit ignored by the waiter. I had to wait a while for water and to order a drink. He forgot to bring bread to the table even though I specifically requested it.
