A favorite spot when attending Lincoln Center but food was very disappointing this visit. Outdoor seating was greatly appreciated. Butternut lasagna was not hot enough and sent back. However, even reheated it was very disappointing. Squad seem to be unevenly mashed and not puréed. Generous portions. We had the prix fixe lunch. Dover sole was outstanding, and chicken parmesan excellent. We took almost half of the chicken home.

Great ambiance, fast service ideal for pre performance dinner, great service.
My grilled veal chop was superb. My companions all said that their food was excellent as well. They had veal Milanese, salmon, and shrimp fra diavolo. The Tartufo for dessert was a perfect end to a fine meal.
Our friends surprised us with brief get together before a show. The waitstaff was very kind tho we only wanted drinks & pizza. We love this cafe and come often as we live next door. The food is always wonderful with really special servers. Thank you!

Food ok, pastas felt prepared in a rush. Service was cold and indifferent. Not bad, just not worth the cost.
Food selection was limited, the wait staff didn't refill a single drink, and we sat for ~30 minutes waiting for a check. The taste of the food was largely average; not bad, but not good - and certainly not worth the price asked.
