My birthday celebration at Cafe Fiorello was, as always, delightful. The four of us were lucky enough to get a table on the little balcony, which was more isolated and quiet. Our server, Valentino, could not have been better.. My only quibble was that they sang Happy Birthday to me, which I had asked they not do. But if that's the worst thing about the evening, it's fine. I am a regular at Fiorello, living in the neighborhood. It's always worth a visit.
We had a 6:45pm rez but got to the venue early. The maitre d’ was kind enough to find a table for us 30 minutes early. Small table but fine for 2. My friend had excellent ravioli and I had penne-shrimp diavola. That could have been a bit spicier for my tastes. All in all, a very nice dining experience.
Everything good but entree just warm not hot. We made comment and got complementary dessert and coffee. So restaurateur tried to make good.
Our server was so good we would have enjoyed it even if the food was bad, but the food was excellent too! Can’t wait to return to this lovely festive dining room.

The noise level was worse than usual making conversation very difficult.
Great service from the seating request and our server Diego was outstanding. One our of favorite places whenever we are attending performances in the area.
Cafe Fiorello never ceases to provide a delightful dining experience. Perfect for attending performances at Lincoln Center.
Love this classic restaurant! It’s a must when I visit New York.
