They put us in a tight corner where the waiter could barely get to us. I had to call the waiter to start to service us. I was a little disappointed as it’s a favorite spot and staple place to eat.

A favorite spot when attending Lincoln Center but food was very disappointing this visit. Outdoor seating was greatly appreciated. Butternut lasagna was not hot enough and sent back. However, even reheated it was very disappointing. Squad seem to be unevenly mashed and not puréed. No béchamel sauce and it was generally tasteless compared to other restaurants where I have enjoyed it. The short rib meat balls, a specialty, also just average. Generous portions. We had the prix fixe lunch. Dover sole was outstanding, and chicken parmesan excellent. We took almost half of the chicken home.

Great ambiance, fast service ideal for pre performance dinner, great service.
My grilled veal chop was superb. My companions all said that their food was excellent as well. They had veal Milanese, salmon, and shrimp fra diavolo. The Tartufo for dessert was a perfect end to a fine meal.
Our friends surprised us with brief get together before a show. The waitstaff was very kind tho we only wanted drinks & pizza. We love this cafe and come often as we live next door. The food is always wonderful with really special servers. Thank you!
