I have gone here for years, off and on. The food was always good, but this time it was not - at least for me. My order was messed up by the kitchen, and I understand things happen. Then the correct order comes, and looks nothing like the dish I had ordered, nothing like this classic, Chicken Piccata looks in any of a zillion Italian restaurants, from high to low. Second visit in 2 weeks! Just love Fiorello! Good food, good, friendly service. It's always bustling but you never feel rushed or overlooked.
New York institution for a reason - amazing food and the most attentive, smart and kind staff. The only pre-theatre dinner spot for me!

Pre-theater appropriate. Food was fresh and delicious and service was very good.
We always include Cafe' Fiorello in our spring ballet trips. The service is very good. Two in our party have ambulatory issues. They help us and are very considerate. I love the seafood. The pasta Bolognese is a favorite as is the organic chicken. The lasagna is made horizonally and not vertically which does not appeal to me, but others seem to like it. We like going to Fiorello.
Pre ballet lunch was excellent. Had a Bellini and the vegetarian lunch—asparagus, eggplant rollatini and shrimp & beans. There were many more vegetarian choices
