This is my go to spot for many years to take my guests for pre and post ballet and Opera at Lincoln Center. Food is consistently wonderful, very warm, knowledgeable and helpful staff, good wine list, not big, but nice wines which pair well with the food. I have always had raves from the guests I bring there, even the foodies!
Too many diners for staff; we had to call the manager to order drinks and flag down a waiter for olive oil for the bread. Overall service did not improve until a lot of people left the restaurant. Food was fine, but staffing needs to beef up and noise level was high. Not the best choice for Friday night dinner before a Lincoln Center show.
We've eaten many times before but recently a friend suggested we try the open-faced lasagna. It was sufficiently large that three of us shared it, and it was terrific. Also, Fiorello's offers one of the best bread baskets in town--much more variety than the typical basket full of just hard white bread. The service is attentive without being at all intrusive. Your water is replenished frequently. Also, the pistachio gelato is truly nutty, crunchy and actually tastes like pistachio, without the artificial green color so often ... read more
I arrived early for my reservation, and the staff was so accommodating. I had a business lunch and was given a quiet, semi-private table. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The waiter was excellent--- very attentive, but not hovering over us. We were even treated to some free, freshly baked cookies. Very warm and welcoming restaurant. Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Charming décor. I would certainly recommend Café Fiorello to friends.
Located opposite Lincoln Center, Cafe Fiorello combines good food with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a friendly lunch.
I've been eating at Cafe Fiorello since 1992. It's one of my first choices for pre-theatre at Lincoln Center! I love the antipasto plate - a choice of 3 (or 7) goodies from the wonderful table inside the bar. My partner loves their very unusual lasagna. I'm glad Cafe Fiorello has survived the "gentrification" of the Upper West Side.
I have always gone to Cafe Fiorello's sister restaurant Trattoria D'ell Arte. This particular evening, I was going to an activity near Lincoln Center and thought I would give this place a try. The menu was just as incredible, and the atmosphere was amazing. We dined outside under the heat lamps, and blankets were provided for us to use. The waitstaff was very attentive, and the food was delicious. I ordered a pizza, and it was so good. The crust was like a cracker, and the tomatoes and cheese were unbelievably fresh. I will ... read more
This was a perfect location for a brunch before the ballet on a Sunday. Brunch fare options were few, actually, and my frittata was flavorless. But service was excellent and the environment was attractive and lively. Maybe their lunch menu offerings are the better bet.
Fabulous grilled Roman artichokes and the best thin pizza in NYC. Perfect for a pre opera at Lincoln Center.
