Great location near downtown Palm Springs and activities The air conditioning could've worked a bit better. It seemed like the AC unit didn't work to its full capacity. Signage pointing to the nearest set of steps from the upper floor to the parking lot would also be helpful. This was my second time staying at Caliente Tropics. This is one of the most fun, relaxed hotels I've stayed in and is a Palm Springs favorite. About what I expected for the price. But cleanliness could have been better. I wiped down the light switches/air conditioning switches and they were filthy (I could physically see they were dirty which is why I wiped them down). Carpet was very old and badly stained. Nice restaurant on premises, large pool area w/ plenty of chairs, etc. Bed was comfortable, slept well. New shower stalls in bathroom.

I would stay there again great location. It’s a half a mile walk to Elmer’s breakfast restaurant toilet was loose and rocking back-and-forth. Paint needs touchup in the bathroom adequate pool and bar restaurant facilities
