Good Front desk girl was not friendly at all. No breakfast. Cracks around door of room which wind was blowing in and howling loudly. Might not have noticed except that there was 80 mph wind gusts which completely ruined our one day in Palm Springs. Couldn't relax or enjoy the pool. When the wind finally slowed down around 1:00 am and I thought I could fall asleep, there was a police chase through the parking lot in which a car was jumping the speed bumps, screeching at over 100 mph with 4 cop cars chasing. Good -restaurant in the complex was closed for breakfast. Had to drive to find one. -slightly dated complex with pool area separated from the accommodation by car parking and vehicle access.

Family friendly affordable Tiki themed motel The Reef was extremely disorganized. They had trouble serving multiple tables in a timely manner and the coffee was terrible. The kitchy tiki decor definitely made the experience fun. The on grounds activities were neat.

Caliente Tropic is Fantastic Kitchy Fun!! The only complaint I have (and it's a small one) is that you are required to pick up pool towels at the front desk. I was not made aware of this when we checked in and with kids in-tow the pool was to be our first stop. This required a desperate trip to the front desk. Also you keep the towels for the duration of your stay. Again not a big deal considering we were only there over night but I could see this as being a challenge if we were there longer and needed to hang dry the towels... read more
