I have gone twice to this establishment, and arrived on time to my appointment both times. Both times I was made to wait at least forty minutes only to be rushed along within five minutes upon seeing the doctor. Not only did they waste my time by ignoring my scheduled appointment slot, when I was seen by the doctor I was given a restraint and only allowed to discuss two subjects at a time with her. This place came highly recommended by my primary doctor, Dr. Suzuki at UCLA health, for a major skin issue that I'm trying to rule out as a tumor. All of this happened on 2/16/24. I called and spoke with a young girl who did not have any soft skills. When she put me on hold, she said nothing--the call just sounded like it disconnected. I'll cut straight to the chase. I was seen by a male dermatologist in this office about a year ago for a typical skin cancer screening and to check a rash that had not cleared up with OTC creams. Well, apparently, there was a "glitch" in the office's billing system, which led to an unresolved payment. How this place is in business is beyond me. My mom was looking for a local dermatologist . Her primary doctor gave her a list of doctors to choose from and this is the place she chose to visit. The office was clean, the receptionist was kind. Now for the doctors visit. My mom was not comfortable with the treatment that she was given by the doctor. The poor score is not a reflection on PA Valentina Gomez, she's a star and I absolutely loved being under her care. She listens to you and takes the necessary steps to help with your health issues. 5+ stars for Valentina. Negative stars for the front desk and nurses. They are the worst. Lucy is a grumpy old lady that doesn't know how to use technology. She wasn't able to provide me access to the portal. Not an honest healthcare entity! I had an appointment with them on 1/25/24 2:15pm and wanted to cancel in advance of 24 hours, which is 1/24/24 by 2pm. I used the original cell phone that I scheduled the appointment with to call their office to cancel. This is the same phone number they text me to confirm the appointment. CA Skin Institute is awful! The worse ever. It's a medical corporation that has no place in medicine. The doctors are under a strict time restraint too. It is one of the reasons why Dr. Capadanno left. However, I like the two doctors who are currently working there, but not their billing system in this wretched skin care institute. The CA Skin Institute sucks (to put it nicely!) I'm taking my insurance and going elsewhere where the terrible skin institute is not involved.

Went a couple of years ago and still not over how the older man got unnecessarily close to me. He probably didn't realize it but it made me feel weird and I didn't know how to respond. Feedback wasn't helpful and very general.

This office engaged in an illegal billing practice known as balance billing which is in violation of the terms of my contract with my health insurance provider. Allow me to explain.
