Dr. Ceavatta is a good, honest to goodness old school doc. He listens and is open to you participating in your treatment plan. When he feels that he can't do anymore for you, he'll refer you out. Staff is professional, courteous and easy to talk to.

I went with my husband to get a cyst on his back removed & I got lightheaded & had to leave the room. Both the nurse & Dr Miriam came to check on me & made sure I got water & a snack. Amazing customer service!

This was my first time going to California Skin Institute and it was such an amazing experience. I went in to see Miriam Eshoiee, and she was super sweet, kind, and efficient during the entire visit. I was really nervous since this was my first time doing anything like this but she made sure to relieve me of my worries. I went in to get two of my moles checked and she quickly told me her assessment. After waiting a month and a half for my appointment, they called me the day prior to inform me my doctor was changed. I was completely fine with this... but hours before my appointment, they canceled it out of the blue. Teresa (Front Desk/Scheduling staff) was devoid of any emotions when canceling my appointment and did not have any empathy at all when it came to working with properly apologizing. Some of the other reviews are correct. With the new doctor, they don't even call you back. I was waiting for treatment for 3 months, and I kept getting rescheduled further and further out. I was scheduled to go in on the last day of my authorization, and then they had the audacity to cancel me. Never ever ever see them.

This place is a huge waste of time, no one answers the phone and when you get scheduled no one will tell you that they canceled your appointment.

Very sorry to learn Dr. Ceveatta has retired. He was one of the best skin doctors I've gone to. Now that California Skin Institute has taken over his office- do not bother! The office never answers the phone nor returns messages! Everything good about this office has gone with Dr. Ceveatta. If you get a referral to this office, request a different doctor/office! AVOID!!!

Left three messages and sent one e mail trying to make appointment. Never got call back. Went to different dermatologist. It's a shame! Went to that office before it was California Skin Institute. Big business got involved and customer service went right in the toilet.

This office is not easy to reach so I decided to go to their office and ask about a treatment my husband was receiving (he was out of town and had calle many times). The office was closed. The sign on the door indicated the office hours were 8-5 PM Mon-Fri. I was told later Dr. Ceavatta is in the process of retiring and the other doctor makes rounds to other offices so they're only open a few day a week.
