Had purchased tires and had wheels aligned before; was happy with the service. Karen, the employee there this time; made the experience so much better. She was funny-kept me informed of price, time of completion and order specs. The gentleman that actually did the work on my car was competent, knowledgeable and the epitome of an old school mechanic; the “man I can’t believe how crazy that was, but I got it fixed for you” guy-reminded me if my Dad! I will definitely be returning to have them service my car!
I can’t say enough about this business! When I came in to see them they were completely booked, but I had a flat tire and two toddlers with me and it was freezing outside. They were even turning people away. They were short staffed and only had one technician working. They not only got me in, they got me a great deal on a new tire, and they told me it would only be an hour and a half because they knew I also had to get my other son from school. The first repair place on South Hampton did a throttle body cleaning and induction cleaning which cost me $300+dollars and they closed down a couple months later and my car is still having the same issue of cutting off upon stopping. I was referred to the Hazelwood location and they suggested changing the spark plug, vc grommets, and valve cover, but my car is still stopping and leaking oil and smoking and on top of that it has stranded me 3 times and it won't stay started. I do not recommend this place (as well as Location) at all. The company already has a bad Rep in the St. Louis area and the reviews speak for themselves. I am convinced that they will do minor work on your car and mess something else up so you can come back and spend more money to get it fixed. You can take your car in working perfectly fine and within the next day have to bring it back because it’s making a noise that it never made before. After taking my flat tire to another repair shop and being told, "they patched the hole but recommended buying a new tire at a total price tag of $245", I took my tire and business to Calvert's. While they also agreed that a new tire was recommended, they explained exactly why. And I agreed with them. They priced everything at about $125. I agreed and 20 minutes later they called to say they got everything down to $89 out the door! Best part it was the exact same tire we usually buy for this vehicle.
