Most of the staff is good but there is a real problem with ensuring memory care residents are kept showered and clean. Supposed to have them shower at least twice a week and they are lucky if it’s once a week; sometimes not. They wear the same clothes for many days up to a week and nobody reminds them to brush teeth, etc. Recently (last few months) housekeeping has gone down hill and residents rooms are not cleaned. If it wasn’t for the few really good staff members, I wouldn’t have my loved one stay there. They need to ensu... read more

My mother stayed for two weeks while I got a break. It was relatively easy to set up even from 500 miles away. The staff was helpful and treated the residents well. My mom has dimentia, but she liked it there. There were some minor issues, but it's only because mom didn't get the one on one care like she does when she's home. How could anybody provide that at an affordable price?

Very expensive for the service that is given. Care team does not give showers on a regular basis. General hygiene not reminded for residents. This is memory care. Resident activities director for memory care is a GEM. She is the reason I can feel ok with mom being there.

I give them a five in all categories. I can't say enough about the kindness of the staff. They recently got a new management company for which they work. There has been some turnover in leadership positions. There also been some lower level staffing issues. However, I attribute this to being part of the transition to a new management group. They are working their way through it. The bottom line is that my friend [name removed] is happy there.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are grateful for the opportunity to care for your friend at our community.

Great environment for providing memory care. Excellent support and response from administrative staff, activities director and on duty nurse practitioner. Food is very good and housekeeping is on top of keeping the unit clean. As with most senior facilities, there have been some adjustment and transitional snags and lapses, but staff is quick to remedy any issues. My husband has adapted well which is so important to making life for him as normal as possible. Thank you Camellia Place!??

Business response:

Jeannette - Thank you for taking the time to leave a five star review of our community. We are grateful for your insight.

Camellia Place was beautiful. The facility is very pretty and so clean. It is set up in little cottages which would be great for those who are more anti-social. We did not see a lot of mingling going on between residents. For my dad he would have had to walk from the cottage to the main building to interact with others and we knew that would not happen which was why we decided against them. It seemed like a great choice though!

Our family had an in person tour and we really liked it but it does have 6 different buildings so if you wanted to go to the main building for activities you would have to walk completely outside.

Business response:

Thank you Becky for your review. So glad that you liked our community.

Our tour with Camellia Place was great, but they do not accept pets at all here so we went with another facility.

Business response:

Thank you for the kind review. I am sorry we couldn't accommodate your pet but glad you found someone that could.

No one has to ask me to say nice things about Camellia Place. I would do anything for them. There is nothing more important to me than my Dad. He says they do everything for him before he can even ask. He says he doesn't deserve it, but I know he deserves it all and more. Camellia Place is absolutely the best!

Business response:

I am so happy to hear that your dad is happy. Our fathers and mothers deserve the best and we do our best to provide that!
