As the owner I personally spoke with the consumer, she was very nice, and she is happy with the new floors and installation. We very much appreciate her business and in the future she has my cell number in the event she needs anything else. Empathy is very important in sales. We are sorry the sales person did not seem more empathetic. RecommendedWe needed help in selecting carpet quickly and we needed an installation while we were out of town. Anthony Venezia and the folks at Capitol Carpet were recommended by our realto,r and that recommendation turned out to be solid gold!
An estimator came to measure and look at our existing tile before we signed the contract. On installation day, surprise, we needed floor prep for an additional cost of $2100. I was later told the estimator really only measures the flooring. Poor business practice and customer service. My flooring looks great, but INSIST on having an INSTALLER review your home before you sign. Make sure you are getting a complete quote.

As the owner of the company I called our customer and we discussed our practices and her experience. It is very unfortunate that the floor needed such extensive floor prep. In fact to have this much floor prep is a very rare occurrence. She explained to me that the money was not her main complaint but rather the reason why an installer did not come out and quote floor prep in advance. The customer service is awful. They are disrespectful and insulting. We are still having problems with the carpet on the stairs and when we called, we were told to calm down its not CANCER - ITS ONLY CARPET. First, my wife is a cancer survivor, so, that is insensitive. Second, as a business owner, if my staff felt like their work wasn't important they would no longer be on my staff. I am sure this will be taken down immediately, but, maybe the owner will take it seriously.

Mrs. Ginsburg was was on the phone screaming and yelling at our manager and in his effort to calm her down he made an inappropriate comment. We apologize for the comment. There have been a couple of issues with the carpet on the landing and we have addressed the service request in both instances. Our owner has spoken with Mrs. Ginsburg today and we are replacing the carpet on the landing.
