Great zoo but wish they still had tigers.
One of the best zoos in the area
was the best day of my life
We are so lucky to have the Chahinkapa Zoo as part of our community. My children and now my grandchildren have and now enjoy going to see all the animals.
Great small town zoo. Good variety of animals. Gift shop set up outside to accommodate Covid. Not busy at all on a Monday afternoon. Easy social distancing.
This was one of the most delightful zoos I have experienced! The commitment to animal conservation and the dedication of the staff is exceptional. You don't want to miss this special gem of a place. Each animal has a special story of how it came to be there and many would not be alive if it was not for the amazing people there who rescued them. Go and spend lots of time there - so worth it!
I love our zoo. The only thing I wish is that the hand sanitizers were filled. Waiting to see what will go in some of the empty cages.
Didnt realize that thete was more to zoo until we pulled out lol...but it was fun
