The mortgage industry swung from giving loans to everyone with little to no documentation/accountability - which was dumb - to the opposite pole where the amount of documentation and quadruple checking every last hair on the applicant's head is positively obnoxious, as well as invasive...isn't this why we have things like credit scores...to gage a customer's credit worthiness? So, nothing to do with Chris or FirstIB per se. Just noting that the government is overreaching by a wide margin and I am looking forward to the swing... read more

Loan completed and terms understood throughout. Your online account management system sucks. Multiple failed uploads and requests for documents to me by system which were in error.

We have been asking for clarification and correction all along and were told that it will be there. The fact that we pay monthly insurance for our home insurance has been there and known. Letting us know that it was unknown the last minute appears to be a miss. The increase in closing cost was also another area that was not explained to us. Yes, eventually we figured it out that it was the Escrow that was causing the change but it was never explained to us and left on us to figure it out.
