Our 10 year old son saw Dr. McAboy to have a growth removed from the roof of his mouth. In the car immediately afterward, my son started crying and said that he became very anxious during the procedure and could not breathe and asked for a break, but Dr. McAboy told my son to 'shut up and stop being a baby'! My son was devastated and terrified. We immediately cancelled the appointment that was scheduled for our daughter's wisdom teeth removal after this horrible experience. There were not issues with the staff, just Dr. McAb... read more

I brought my son to have his wisdom teeth extracted. My son’s teeth were extracted without general anesthesia, and even local anesthesia was not enough. My son were screaming in pain, and the doctor’s failed response was, “I will leave the room without completing remove yourtooth extraction. Is this possible? He is not a professional doctor. ” Please do not go to this failed doctor who has a doctorate in medicine!

My son has very high anxiety and had wisdom teeth surgery scheduled. When my son tried to explain his anxiety and all he got was scoffs and that’s not a good enough excuse. He told the nurse to cancel and not reschedule. He didn’t explain that there would be sedation followed by anesthesia. He was rude and dismissive. My son tried to get through it but ended up not trusting Dr Mcaboy. When told we’d have to take him a hospital, they said they could not make a recommendation. Sorry to bother you!

He was super rude and dismissive when I went in for a consultation. Acted like my problem wasn’t a big deal when I’ve had multiple other dentists tell me this is something I need to fix. I would not suggest him to anyone.

We were disappointed to say the least. We waited 2 & 1/2 months for a consult and spent a half day (2.5 hours roundtrip and an hour in the waiting room) to be told he couldn't help us. Had he looked at my son's x-rays and history when we were first referred in May, he would have known that my son will need general anesthesia for his wisdom teeth removal, which can only be done in a hospital setting. I was confused by several of his explanations, and I am frustrated that we will now need to start over. This is delaying the pr... read more

I never had surgery of any sort, never been sedated. On May 1 I schedule my consultation appointment for May 29. Turns out the lady didn't even put my appointment in and I didn't know until 5 days before. I get a new appointment 4 days before and THAT'S when they decide to tell me that I would be paying $140 UP FRONT the day of, even though I asked to be billed (I'm poor, okay?). I get to the consultation, get the xray done, and he was VERY pushy to try to convince me to get all my wisdom teeth removed (when only one was imp... read more

I had 2 teeth that were really painful, I was able to get in and have them looked at. I was happy that the appointment ended with my two painful teeth being taken out the same day with a quick recovery.

Dr. McAboy needed to pull my mom's teeth months ago but because she didn't want it done suggested we come back when it bothers her again. He told us we could get in the same day we call, no problem. We called last Friday when she was in pain and there phone rang and recording stated they were with other patients and I was able to leave one message. No one called back and I called all day only getting the same message. Finally we went to Urgent Care Walk In Clinic for pain meds. They suck!
