As first-time home buyers, my wife and I did not know anything about the loan process and all actions/steps required to purchase a home. After preapproval, my loan officer had a tragedy in the family and Chris was left to manage his cases. I did not receive my mortgage commitment until I was driving to the closing and we had issues with the closing documents upon arrival. There were several last minute requests that I was fortunately able to obtain. I do not blame Chris for this, as he worked nights, weekends, and on vacation to get me approved but upper management drowned him in cases.
