Because of COVID-19 the process was lengthy, but if this was the norm it is not acceptable. Unless you follow up, there was no updates. I was not happy that the bank does not provide upfront estimate of what the closing costs will be for the refinance. This is just not OK and very secretive in comparison to other lenders. As any bank, certain things were done for their benefit, i.e not closing timely but taking advantage of clients 15 day grace period for payments to previous lender.
