I am/was a resident of this facility The staff is superb. They are very caring, always pleasant, and work extremely hard to offer help when we need it--really more like family than staff. There is a wide range of well-planned apartment sizes and options. The food is, of course, institutional, but very good and includes something for everyone. Beautiful grounds, nice places to relax outside with friends when weather permits. Exercise facilities, lots of varied activities, small beauty shop, etc. A very friendly community.

Business response:

Thank you Ch82&counting for your positive recommendation of Colonial Heights Senior Living! Our team is passionate about providing the best possible experience for all of our residents and their family members, and we are so glad to have achieved that today.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My father-in-law moved to Colonial Heights and Gardens and they pay attention to their residents. They don't just say, "Okay, go sit in your apartment until we call you for dinner." There are activities and they're checking in on them. They have a bus that takes residents to go shopping if they don't have some other form of transportation. You can arrange it. They have volunteers that can arrange to drive people to doctor's appointments as long as they're within a five-mil... read more

I visited this facility The amenities here were nice. They have all kinds of activities and they have a kitchen where you can do some of your own cooking if you choose to. The meals are provided and they said if you couldn't make it down to the dining area that they would bring them up to your room, which is good. Everything was great. The apartment had a bedroom that is separate, and then the living room and the dining room were made in the same place, but they were big enough where you can keep them separate. So it w... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My parents moved here about a month ago. We chose it because it's a referral and pretty much kind of the only one that had something available. It's a very clean and very nice place. They've been there a month, so they've been dealing with a lot of doctor's appointments. I can't say that they've settled down enough to do any activities. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They are very caring and very thorough. They have a good variety of food. They have good cook... read more

I visited this facility I liked it, but I don't think it's right for my mother. I liked the setting, where it was. The rooms were very nice, very clean. The staff was very cordial and nice, and they were very professional. I would recommend it for people to check it out. The people were very, very nice. The one-bedroom apartment is wonderful, but I had to be put on a waiting list, so I had to wait. I did get to talk to some of the residents, they were very nice, they liked living there, and the people were very friendly, nic... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My loved one is here. It seems to be very nice and offers what one would need. Her apartment is adequate and clean. The dining area is very nice, clean, and efficient. Food is fairly good. They have some activities. The staff seems very nice and caring.

I visited this facility My mom was here. The room that she had was nice and spacious with a well-equipped bathroom. The dining room was in the housing area for the memory care patients. It was nice and clean. It was a really nice place. However, they didn’t have enough skill or care to handle my mom’s condition. The facilities were good, and the people were really nice.
