Angels among us...This should not be amazing, it should be common place and it is not, so...I wanted to pay it forward. Jeremy Holmes with Comfort Hospice Care sends me an email almost a year after my Mom passed saying "Just thinking of you. How are you? I am here for you." I felt his hug. My mother has been a patient with Comfort Hospice for quite awhile and they work as hard today as they did when I signed with them. I tried two different hospice company's before Comfort and before I signed they'd tell me all the great people and programs they had and after I signed their contracts, I was lucky if I'd see the nurse once in awhile. With Comfort I know mom's being seen because the Comfort workers communicate with our group home staff and together they work as one. Their nurses see mom at least once a week but ... read more

I'm a nurse with Comfort Hospice Care. Having cared for hospice patients for over fifteen years here in Las Vegas, I can honestly say that I have never been given the support, by management and co-workers alike, that I've gotten here. I had worked for a large non-profit, and a corporately owned hospice, and neither of them focused on the individual patient experience the way that they do here at Comfort. I would recommend them to anyone, because they truly do care, and ALWAYS put the patient first.

I have been an employee of Comfort Hospice Care for almost 3 years and I have to say that this company has been the best I have ever worked for. We work as a team and the management is absolutely incredible to work for. The management team shows their employees how much they appreciate them as a individual. The people of Comfort Hospice Care from the top down have been amazing. The management are incredible, kind and generous people. The care team are compassionate and actually care about their patients! I can sincerely say that I would gladly stay with this company for as long as they will have me! I'm an employee of Comfort Hospice Care, I've been a Registered Nurse for 30 years and I have to say that Comfort Hospice is the best company I have ever worked for. The management team and the owner are the most caring folks I've ever worked for. They actually care about their employees. They are approachable,helpful and understanding. I just wanted to send a note to say what a great job the nurse Nicole at Comfort Hospice did for my mother. I signed her up for hospice care in October after it became clear she could not take care of herself with more help in the home. My initial experience with Comfort Hospice was not good - a lot of things were not covered as discussed and we went through a few different CNAs for various reasons which caused some stress on everyone. Tried to call to confirm they would be able to care for my mother. She had a lung transplant at UCLA and they are finally going to let us go home to Vegas after a VERY extended stay here. I just need to be sure their nurses handle what she needs because she has a PICC line and is on TPN. Even though I handle all of her TPN, I know labs need to be done weekly and the dressing changes are required weekly. First day and they are late by 1/2 so far over the 2 hr. Window fir the appt. Called the office and they can't reach the nurse. No explanation. Asked for the supervisor and she's on vacation for a week. Not happy so far.
