I have lived in Fairfield for 6 years now and was lucky enough to have my beloved dog and cat under their care while they were here on this earth. RecommendedDr. Smiley went above and beyond for our family. We said goodbye to our Lucy on 1/18/19. It wasn't immediately. She had been diagnosed in May with kidney disease. Dr. Smiley and the whole staff cared so much. I wish I could express my gratitude for every single staff member. Lucy was an incredible 18+ year old beagle/lab. RecommendedI have a 15 yr old rat terrier that I've had since he was 8 weeks old. In the course of his life time, I've feared 3 times that he was going to die. The first was 5 days into having him. He had kennel cough (Puppy Mills are evil). The 2nd he was about 10, and apparently had an infection in his brain, he was walking into walls and being very aggressive and mean towards almost everyone but myself, the 3rd time, he lost all his fur, and his nails, and it was just miserable to look at him. RecommendedThe staff is very caring and understanding of my cat. And I see that they're now certified as cat-friendly! My 17-year-old cat had a very stressful experience at our previous vet and no one there cared, so I'm very excited that Confederate Woods is mindful of how cats feel.
