Most Cracker Barrel restaurants get a 5 star, but not anymore. The quality of the food has changed. Remember the 100% pure maple syrup? Not anymore, it's 50% maple syrup and 50% cane syrup, which is pure sugar from sugar cane being boiled to make syrupy sugar! Then the eggs are smaller, the ham tougher, gravy not as good and the list goes on. I understand they are trying to save money, but now they put themselves in the same class as Denny's!😡
The chicken and dumplings looks like yesterday's warmed up. The beans were dry almost to refried bean level. The meatloaf was brown and hard on the edges. The fish was virtually batter with little fish. So disappointed will never get anything else from there again. Spent $85 on junk, I know things are tight for everyone but geez I guess it will be pizza from now on.
They have this new Signature Fried Apple French Toast Bake on the Fall Menu to die fall. I don’t have a sweet tooth but their butter pecan syrup was not too sweet and it was just nice over the dish 🤩 The deco and store is awesome too, lots of vanity stuff to look out for. The cast iron pans is what I’m getting 👍 Great staff service and Lori was amazingly awesome 🙌 Happy Sunday
This place has really good food, but it has horrible service. Having only a few (5-7 tables with diners), they take almost 1 hour to serve your food after you order and waited for the server, and when it is served, some of it is cold. Not to mention that they forgot to serve us our muffins and cornbread. Today, we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated with not that many tables with diners and being told three times that they had called them up to seat us (2 people). Had one of the worst services I've ever experienced. The server acted like she hated being there. Anytime we had a question it was like pulling teeth. she never offered us refills on our drinks or anything like that we always had to try to wave her down. I still got the fried chicken meal one of my pieces of chicken was not cooked all the way. I would have said something to the server but she was so frustrated if we asked her anything.
