Came to Lawton, OK for grandson's graduation from Fort Sill. We had breakfast there. There were 8 in our party and everyone was happy with their meal. I would have given them a 5 but we had to wait several minutes for the hostess to come back to the hostess stand to sit us.
I've never been to a Cracker Barrel that was really good, but this one in Lawton had fairly good reviews. I should have listened to my first instinct and passed on it. Food was passable, service was just ok. Seemed like the gift shop had more business than the restaurant!
Cracker Barrel has always been a safe bet when looking for a staple meal. My wife and I always eat breakfast when we go to CB, no matter what time of day. Good meal, good service, just a good place to eat. Nothing special, just reliably good.
Ate breakfast at the Lawton location. Not as good as other locations. It made you believe that it was thrown together and served in a hurry. The restaurant was not busy during our visit, so the presentation could have been better. Of course they did not get our order right.
The menu has something for everyone, whether a snack or main meal. The service was exceptional and food was delicious. We also like the gift shop to browse after we eat.
My friends and family laugh when I brag about food at Cracker Barrel, but I think Cracker Barrel is one of the better restaurant chains around. I especially like the fact that you can get vegetables there, and not have to suffer through what most other restaurants pass off as vegetables: Potatoes and a few over-cooked green beans.
